1. Kopitiam Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock

Kopitiam Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock’s best food and drink options to try are the Good Nasi Lemak with Ayam Goreng and the Assam Laksa. The Nasi Lemak is delicious and comes with crunchy toppings. The Assam Laksa is also worth trying if you’re looking for a local delight. The mee rebus is quite JB style and comes with generous portions of crispies. However, the food is decent but not really mind-blowing. One minor issue is that you have to order by scanning a QR code but they don’t accept eWallet payment, which could be improved for convenience.

During the breakfast visit on a Saturday, they were the only customers. The service was decent, albeit slightly slow, giving the impression that they were not fully prepared even though it was already past the opening time.

One of the partners had cheong fun (rice noodle rolls) and neslo panas. She enjoyed it but felt the noodles were slightly too firm. On the other hand, the texture was just right for the narrator’s taste, as he finds cheong fun served too soft elsewhere. The sauce was flavorful and thankfully not overly sweet.

The narrator had the regular Nasi Lemak with an extra telur mata (fried egg with a runny yolk). The rice was aromatic and warm, enhancing the flavors of the other ingredients. The sambal was spicy and the ikan bilis (anchovies) were of good quality, which differentiates Kopitiam Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock from some other places that cut costs in this regard. The fried egg had nicely crispy edges, adding a delightful touch to the dish that the narrator finds difficult to replicate at home. Overall, it was a great way to start the day.

2. Restoran Thaqwa Corner

Restoran Thaqwa Corner adalah tempat terbaik untuk menikmati nasi kandar dan roti canai yang berkualiti di Gombak. Kuah kari dan kuah madu mereka benar-benar autentik dan pekat. Harga makanan ini tidak terlalu mahal, tapi rasanya sangat enak. Restoran ini sangat bersih dan pekerja di sini ramah. Kuey Teow Goreng dan Roti Telur mereka juga sangat sedap dan sesuai dengan selera saya. Saya pasti akan datang lagi ke sini dan membawa lebih ramai rakan untuk menikmati nasi kandar yang berkualiti. 3. Restoran Hidangan Ara Meranti

Restoran Hidangan Ara Meranti menawarkan makanan dan minuman sedap serta murah. Portion makanan sangat berpatutan dan sesuai untuk satu orang, tetapi boleh dikongsi oleh dua atau tiga orang. Gelas ais kosong dihiasi label “milo” atau “teapot”. Setiap kali memesan ais kosong, kami bergurau dengan menyebut “aku order air milo weh” kerana logo milo terdapat pada gelas tersebut. Staff di restoran ini baik, walaupun mereka mungkin kurang mesra pada masa yang sibuk. Restoran ini terletak di kawasan flat Ara Meranti dan terdapat tempat letak kereta di luar. Nasi berlauk di sini sangat sedap dan berpatutan harga. Servis di restoran ini pantas dan semuanya baik-baik saja. Namun, jika mungkin, pada hari Jumaat semasa waktu solat Jumaat, harapnya pekerja yang mengendalikan air bukan lelaki Muslim. Keadaan yang kurang baik ialah ramai lelaki Muslim yang lepak di sini semasa waktu solat Jumaat, seperti mereka telah memilih untuk tidak menunaikan solat.

4. Mr. & Mrs. Cafe

Mr. & Mrs. Cafe offers nice food and a comfortable dining experience. The breakfast set, starting from RM10, is worth trying and comes with a side and drink. The nasi lemak with curry chicken, carbonara pasta beef bacon, aglio oglio, and egg benedict are highly recommended. The dishes taste as good as they look. The only downside was that the curry chicken came late and had already finished the nasi lemak, and the plain water had a smell. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is ambient and bright. The seating can be a little hot in the corner. The Eggs Marlborough and Big Breakfast are cooked perfectly and delicious. The decor is comfy and clean, and the service is friendly and informative. The only issue was that the seafood chowder prawn was mushy, indicating a need for better quality control. Overall, it was an enjoyable brunch experience.

5. Yasir Nasi Kandar

Yasir Nasi Kandar offers delicious food and beverages in a nice evening environment. It is popular for local food and is conveniently located near LRT Ara Damansara. The restaurant is in the same building as Evolve Mall and provides a variety of Nasi Kandar dishes and typical mamak menu items found in other mamak shops.

The service is fast and the prices are reasonable, according to mamak standards. I enjoyed the Nasi with honey chicken and curry beef, accompanied by a wrapped lime juice for RM9.5. It’s a decent price for mamak food in KL.

The curry beef is delicious, while the honey chicken is average. This place also has two TVs, so you can enjoy watching the English Premier League on weekend nights. I had their nasi lemak and loved the spicy sambal. The staff is fast in taking orders and delivering them.

The food is hot and tasty, but please note that Yasir Nasi Kandar is only open from 5pm onwards.

6. Yummy Kitchen

Yummy Kitchen adalah sebuah restoran makanan Malaysia di Ara Damansara PJ yang berdekatan dengan Cantara Residences. Restoran ini terkenal dengan citarasa yang enak dari sebuah bandar kecil di Perak, Telur Intan. Mereka mempunyai suasana yang sangat menyenangkan di mana anda dapat bermula dengan sarapan yang hebat. Makanan atau minuman terbaik yang boleh dicuba di sini adalah Mee Jawa, Bubur Sotong Kacang, dan Nasi Pulut dengan Kaya. Restoran ini menerima pembayaran melalui DuitNow QR. Parkir di sini tidak menjadi masalah. Tempat ini tidak besar dan lebih difokuskan pada makanan. Layanan sangat baik, tetapi pesanan harus ditempatkan di kaunter terlebih dahulu. Di sini juga terdapat beberapa hidangan istimewa seperti ketan udang dan ayam char siew pada hari Sabtu dan Isnin. Pelayanannya bagus dan harga makanan sangat berpatutan. Restoran ini cukup baik dan saya pasti akan datang lagi.

7. Restoran Jai Nasi Kukus

Restoran Jai Nasi Kukus is an affordable yet tasty restaurant that offers a variety of spreads and made-to-order meals. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. The best food and drink options to try include their delicious Malay dishes. It is recommended to visit around 12pm to get all the options as they tend to sell out by 1.30pm. The restaurant is very generous with their gravies and curries, and even their blended teh ice is excellent. Additionally, there is ample free parking available. The only downside is that it can get hot on a hot day due to the sun glaring into the entrance.
