1. Jim @ Lubok
Lubok is a comfortable and beautiful place with great food and various options to try. The best food and drinks to try include the kids set with ice cream, water, and mushroom soup. The place has comfortable facilities such as lights, toilets, and a surau. Don’t forget to turn the candy machine when paying at the counter, it’s free. The place is usually full but today we were lucky to be able to hang out with my husband. We are from Cameroon and found this place through Google search and the reviews were positive. Overall, everything was great and we were satisfied. The parking is limited, especially on weekends, but we came on a weekday and had a smooth experience. We ordered five types of food which were all delicious and affordable. The Chinese fried rice was tasty with a generous portion. The pineapple fried rice had excellent presentation and a unique taste with a large portion. The grilled chicken was delicious but the sauce was slightly salty, and our child couldn’t finish the portion because of the fries. The red chicken fried rice was marvelous and had an authentic taste. The roasted lamb was tender and delicious, but the accompanying tamarind sauce didn’t quite match. If you’re near Penang, this place could become your favorite spot. It would be a shame to pass by without stopping here.
